Glock 20

Alright as some know I am a huge 10mm fan and have a couple of glock 20's

and if you know your 10mm's these are dam good handguns, but as some know if you want to shoot hot loads you should upgrade to a aftermarket Barrel.

So I got a lone wolf barrel 6" to replace my 4"+, So I wanted to run something Hot though it so I bought a couple of boxes of Double Tap Equalizers, and my god theses are a blast.

2 shots for one, after my 1st shot I had to run my target back to me to really see 2 holes in the target out of one shot.

here is a little bit about what I was running though the new barrel.

Penetration. Expansion. Damage. Trauma. Power. Controllable.
These are words used to describe the new 230gr. Equalizer from DoubleTap.

What about two shots in one?
A 135gr. JHP over a 95gr. lead ball @ 1040fps. This load is VERY accurate and
produces two holes on target. The ball hits high every time - less than one inch
from the JHP @ 10yds and 2.5" from the JHP @ 25yds

Caliber : 10mm

Bullet : 230gr. two projectiles: 135gr. JHP and 95gr. lead ball

Ballistics : 1040fps/ 553 ft./lbs.

I have a 6 in. KKM barrel but have no problem shooting DT loads through the stock barrel either. Even their Bear Tooth rounds (hardcast lead) are good to go through stock. Don't confuse these rounds with soft lead as there is no comparison.....and yes I am aware of not shooting regular lead rounds through a stock Glock barrel.

The G20 and G29 are the only two pistols you will ever need. Throw in a .22 Advantage arms conversion kit and you have all of your bases covered.:coolbeer:Bx3

Not that new (been using them for years at the range to goof on friends"How many rounds did you fire? You shot 10 but have 20 holes!"). But out in the woods vs. bear or in the city vs. vehicles they're useless. For those situations stick with 200gr or 230gr hardcasts.

Took the description off a old website. :signs14:

Now I went with a aftermarket for hotter reloads and lead

one of my glocks have over 10,000 rds of 185gr never with one failure
so the stock barrel is great but want to take it up a couple of notches

I've been interested in the G20 since they were introduced. Picked them up several times over the years but always concluded the grip was just too big around to be comfortable in my hands. I could make it work on a range but it doesn't index properly for me if I just grab it and raise it on target.

Now Glock has gone and started selling a G20 SF.

I'm going to have to get one in the next year or two.

Something else always seems to be in the number one slot in my "buy next" list but that Glock 10mm will make it one of these days!

Is the grip on the G20 noticeable bigger than the grips on the 9mm glocks? I've only fired the G19 and it seems just about perfect for me.

I wasnt aware this type of ammo was availible......makes it worth considering a 10mm

from looking at DT's website it appears 10mm is the only calibre this type is availible in????

Oh yeah! The original G20/21 grip is quite large. Has to be since the cartridges are longer. But the SF design change really makes a difference. The actual numbers don't seem that different but it sure makes a difference in my hands. The G21 SF has been out for some time but they took forever to finally start doing it with the G20. The slides are still quite wide compared to the G17/19. They radiused them a bit which helps but they are still more than 99% of the CCW population would want to carry.

I personally find that the short length of the G19 just isn't right for my hands. Most people love them so I know it's just me. But I far prefer the grip feel of the G17. Same size except longer.
